The DIS is an annual event that is hosted by The Shepherd’s Flock International Church. It is our flagship program and a platform where divinity meets humanity. The theme of this year’s edition is DUNAMIS: The Mighty POWER of GOD. Before we proceed, what exactly do I mean by The Dunamis Package? First, Dumanis is a concept in Greek which means power. Power has various dimensions, the implication of which is that “power pass power”. Humans have power - physical, mental, and spiritual. Even at that, the degrees of physical, mental, and spiritual powers vary among humans. Despite the fact that human powers keep evolving, they are limited in their capacity. Human powers generally function in isolation while in certain instances, they function in association. Isolation or association, there is a level beyond which humans cannot go. In the same vein, God has power, and His power is in dimensions. There is a dimension of God's power that is exercisable by men. One may be tempted to attribute such power to the man exercising it even though God is the One at work. An example of this in the scriptures is the account in Acts 4 where Peter told the crippled beggar to rise and walk. There is a dimension of God's power that is exercisable by angels which is seen in Acts 12 where the prison gates opened of their own accord. God will delegate His powers in certain instances. The delegated power of God is limited. For example, the disciples could not heal the demon possessed. Occasionally too, God's power is demonstrated through animals and things. Secondly, the nature of power and the personality in whom it is vested determines the potency thereof. The highest form of power is qualified by the word mighty, which means extreme. God is so powerful and there are dimensions of His power that attracts the qualification of mighty. This dimension of power can only be exercised by God and no man is qualified enough. An example of this is when God raised Jesus from death. Another example is the birth of Jesus. When God is personally involved, His kingdom comes with Him, His angels, man, tools, God himself and His host, men and tools all come with him. It's a huge entourage when He comes with the fullness of His power and kingdom. These are examples of the rare occasions when God does not delegate His power. At the DIS2024, God is coming in the fullness of His power, hence the mighty power of God. He investing everything He has into the event in order to make your life work. This is the definition of the dunamis package. It is an experience where divinity will meet humanity again. So, whatever your personal or corporate needs are, they are already taken care of in the DUNAMIS package. Lastly, my advise? Do yourself the favour of attending this assembly of God's people to take a full advantage of an atmosphere that is loaded with power and possibilities.
